Boxcar Hill Campground

We are a full service recreational facility which opened on July 1st, 2012. Box Car Hill Campground is comprised of 158 large RV sites. 32 spaces offer full hookups and an additional 114 spaces provide water & electric services. Space sizes range from 55 to 75+ feet long and 25-29 feet wide. All sites have access to free WIFI.

For over 5o years these dunes have been known as a popular destination for West Coast off-road and ATV enthusiasts. Historically, Box Car Hill has been the preferred site for numerous off-road special events such as Sand Fest, Sand Jam, UTV Takeover and has garnered extensive press coverage via multiple print and web based outlets.

Boxcar Hill Campground invites you to meet our new resident camp hosts, Terence & Alissa Hennessey, during your next stay with us. Terence & Alissa live by the Golden Rule and embody an infectious level of positivity. They are excited to serve our guests and enhance their camping experience.

Terence & Alissa are a newlywed couple with an adult son living in Washington. They are proud dog lovers and have two friendly little pups: Dinah and Keido.
